Help your
neighbors! The NE
Emergency Food
Project needs
your support!
NEFP is
feeling the
pinch of higher
prices and bulk
food shortages.
Here's ways you
can help:
Donate: rice,
cereal and baby
food
Foods can be in
unopened
packages of any
quantity. Dried
beans, canned
vegetables,
soups, peanut
butter, pasta
and personal
care items such
as deodorant and
toothpaste are
also helpful.
Food can be
dropped off at
the church.
Enter the
Cleveland side
door and look
for the red
collection
barrel,
downstairs in
the Fellowship
Hall.
Times the church
is open:
9am-Noon Sunday
3pm-6pm Tuesday
9am-12pm
Wednesday
During the
Volunteer Fair
Saturday, May
3rd, 10-Noon
Food can also be
taken to NEFP
directly, check
their
website
for hours.
You can also
write a check
to::
Northeast
Emergency Food
Project
4800 NE Wygant
Portland OR
97218
On April 1st, 50
lbs of rice cost
around $12. Less
than a month
later, the cost
is over $18. Who
knows what it
will be
tomorrow?
Organizations
like NEFP are
particularly
challenged
because of
rationing and in
competing with
for profit
businesses for
these staples.
They don't have
money to stcck
pile, and they
have more mouths
to feed as
prices rise.
Make sure your
neighbors can
eat! Donate
today!
